WHEN THERE IS A DELAY.

SAUL having waited for Samuel for seven days,  decided to take the laws into his hands and offer a sacrifice to God. Just after he was done Samuel came in.
.

It's obvious that God could decide to delay answering us, just to test us. And in such times you might have more than three  battles or challenges that you are fighting in your life such as marital, family, financial,  academic issues and so on. But God only wants you to see something that he needs you to change in you life. For Saul, SELF was his issue. He considered himself more important than God's commandment.
.
And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the PEOPLE WERE SCATTERED FROM ME, and that thou CAMEST NOT WITHIN THE DAYS APPOINTED, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash;
1 Samuel 13:11 KJV
.
Saul acted because the people were scattered from him. His Kingdom was no longer established because of this singular act of self.
.

You might want to make a wrong decision but God expects you to obey his instructions. Had Saul been patient he would not have lost his Kingdom to another man.
.
God might be testing you,  to see how you will react. Be careful, for your reaction might determine how next level.
